Powder Blue Pomegranate

A pomegranate with a slice taken out hurtles through a powder blue sky. This small bowl, a pinch pot, can be held in the palm of the hand but look deep inside for the full floating effect. It is one of a series but each is individually made and unique.

Made using deep, peat coloured clay, slip decorated in contrasting layers, with the sgraffito lines of the design etched into the surface. These pots have multiple firings to add enamels and lustres that achieve the jewel like effect.
