Pomegranate Crimson Sultan, (2021)

Crimson Sultan shows the rich red of the open Pomegranate. It is one of a series but each one is individual.

The crimson and purples of this one reflect the pomegranate’s symbolism of prosperity and abundance.

These are Small, hand-sized bowls, made with coloured slips and sgraffito drawn lines over deep brown clay. They have multiple firings to add the enamels and lustre that produce the jewel-like effect. The outside is tin glazed.
