London Snow – Plane Trees

London Snow – Plane Trees: A quiet walk in my local park in North London on a snowy day. The lines of Plane trees looked more like a procession with the snow setting off their magnificent forms.

30 cm pinch pot made from earthenware clay mixed with black Earthstone for a rich deep brown colour and for strength, painted with white slip and delicate sgraffito drawn line. The pot is clear glazed with gold lustre on the rim. Tin glaze wash on the the underside.

Shallow dish: 30cm diam x 6cm high
