Large Peony Bowl

Large Peony Bowl is a cheerful memory of warm Summers and those few weeks when the Peony blooms prosper.

This is ‘Sarah Bernhardt,’ and she does magnificently in my garden as long a torrential burst of rain holds off for long enough. It can be touch and go in London.

She is also beautifully scented. This year I had to bring the blooms in doors as the thunder rolled overhead. If you had to too, here’s a bowl so they last all year and for many more.

Large Peony Bowl is made from a mix of red and black clays, slip painted with loose brushwork and freely drawn with a fine sgraffito line
