Full Bloom Peony

Full Bloom Peony bowl is a pinch pot decorated in white slip with freely drawn Peonies from my garden. These pots look and feel delicate, with their fine sgraffito lines and thin walls but they derive strength from the clay mix.

Made from earthenware clay with black stoneware mixed in. This produces a rich, dark brown appearance which works well with the sgraffito lines. The pot is clear glazed, with gold lustre on the rim.

Approx 25cm diam x 8.5 cm high, signed and dated.
