Bugger Porcelain, 2017
Bugger Porcelain was made in response to a short report of a legal case concerning an outstanding collection of Chinese porcelain, assembled by a British diplomat during his years in the Far East. The porcelain seemed to have a life of its own and was threatening to overpower the family and create merry Hell, long of the death of its collector.
Disorganised Labour, 2016
‘Disorganised Labour,’ refers to the many migrant workers in my neighbourhood who do the night shifts at the shops, drive the taxis and deliver food. These are the non-unionised workers, scorned, it seems, by those who speak of ‘organised Labour,’ a term which, these days, is more likely to refer to middle management.
